Beyond Distilling is a new craft spirits distillery in Charleston, SC, possessing a social and environmentally conscious vision that aims to provide fulfilling employment adults with disabilities. I had the pleasure of working with their team to develop label illustrations for their bourbon whiskey and coconut rum.
Creative
The team at Beyond Distilling wanted to create label art that would break the mold of the traditional austere bourbon design. Their signature bourbon features a local angel oak tree - an integral feature of the local landscape. For the coconut rum we went heavily tropical, using the label template to create an underwater shipwreck with metallic bubbles floating to the surface. Label design: The UP Studio.
